It is based on a real boat called the Elizabeth E II, which is a boat exactly the same as Stella that operates out of Mackay. The motivation for Osprey Reef was the boat which in Osprey Reef is called the Lady Stella II. How the Osprey Reef romance came to be written Then I find an issue that threatens that setting and I populate it with my characters and then I give them their conflicts.
